The question I get most is "How did you get into this?!"
Ever since I was very young I was running around with a camera in my hands. Snapping candid shots of family and friends. I never felt particularly drawn towards most mainstream photography careers, portraits and weddings just didn't spark my interest. Then in 2021, my cousin asked if I would shoot the birth of his daughter, having no idea what I was in for I said, "Sure! Why not?" I had just recently given birth to my second daughter so I felt I was on familiar enough ground.
Something really clicked for me in that moment and I knew this is where I wanted to be. Living in the quiet moments, being a steady presence in the room catching all the little details, the squeeze of a hand, a look of encouragement, the indescribable expression of joy when you meet your new baby for the very first time.
